Atlanta is one of my favorite cities, and I was there this past weekend for a huge college football matchup between FAMU and TSU. What I didn’t know was that Atlanta is currently in the middle of a gas crisis….. simply put: there’s no gas! I was shocked as I went from station to station only to find plastic bags over every pump. For the few stations that did have gas, the lines were ridiculous! The average wait time was about 45 minutes with some lines lasting for hours.
Now, what I love about the south is that people still manage to keep good spirits even during bad situations. I made a few new friends during my hour wait and they even volunteered to be in a few pictures “acting mad”. We actually had a great time but I won’t be going back to Atlanta again without a spare tank of gas in tow.
