I’m back in Atlanta! One of my favorite cities for food, friends and good old southern hospitality — and did I mention food? Sorry, I’ll spare you all my fatboy tendencies and get right to this fun couple. Meet Erin and Paul. One of the most easy-going pairs I’ve ever had the chance to work with. This was my first time meeting Paul but I’ve actually known Erin for years. She’s from my hometown of Detroit and I always remembered her as the pretty cheerleader with a winning personality and a heart of gold. Now she’s all grown up and has found a great match in her fiance Paul. This couple was so much fun we actually did the shoot over the course of 2 days — I guess I couldn’t get enough of hanging with them!

I wanted a little more charm for their shoot, so I decided to start in the Highlands area and end at the spot where it all began, Morehouse College. Not only is this Paul’s Alma Mater, but the place where he met the love of his life, Erin. I am so excited to share these pictures with you all and even more excited for their wedding next July! Last week I was featured on a style blog… Say What?!? Crazy right? I think I was actually more shocked than flattered. Honestly, I can think of at least 2 million people who are way more stylish than me, so I figured this was some early April Fool’s joke. Turns out it wasn’t. My college friend, Toye Adedipe, who is now an amazingly successful celebrity stylist felt that my “unstyle” was actually stylish… go figure. He’s worked with everyone from Fantasia to Keyshia Cole to ANTM’s Eva Pigford, so I’m sure he must know what he’s talking about. Anyway, check out his amazing portfolio and check me out on his blog. Believe it or not, this love story dates back nearly 15 years. A time when Nicole and Jevon’s biggest concern was what mom packed in their lunch box. Nicole hates to admit it but at the time she had a HUGE crush on Jevon, while Jevon freely admits that he barely even noticed her (yeah right). Their story could have ended there but you know how fate  is… Relentless. And as fate would have it, their paths did cross again but this time it was at a train station in Princeton, NJ. The girl that Jevon vaguely remembered from middle school was now a beautiful, poised woman. The woman he would soon fall in love with and make his wife. For Nicole, the childhood crush had come around full circle and this time it was in her favor.

Their engagement shoot, much like their story, was a fateful adventure in itself. We had to battle traffic, rain and security guards (atleast 3) but then again, there is nothing like New York and nothing like this couple. They both happen to be pastors so I’m sure we had a higher power on our side.  Seriously though, this couple is blessed beyond measure and I feel blessed to be able to capture the love between them. Enjoy.

As a photographer, my goal is to capture your wedding story — a story of love, laughter and the promise of a beautiful future between you and your fiance. These moments are priceless and when all the cake is gone and you’ve danced your last dance, your wedding album is a timeless portal to that special day. A lot of people were curious to see what a completed one looks like, so I’ve decided to share. Of course every couple is different so one album is COMPLETELY different from the next but I’ll be sure to share more on another post.
