“He put a ring on it!”. That’s exactly what Katie said when she told me her fiance, Chris, had proposed. I always knew it was going to happen – this couple was just too perfect for each other. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Katie for nearly two years and worked with her back in my Corporate America days. Katie is the girl who brightens every room she walks into and even served as the “fun coordinator” during our boring company meetings. So of course I couldn’t have been more excited then when she asked me to take her engagement pictures. Katie is die-hard ANTM fan so this girl was a pro at “smiling with her eyes”, she even taught me and Chris a thing or two.

I LOVE my Nikon D300 but it’s always fun to play around with other cameras. Here’s a few polaroids from my 27th birthday party (getting old). Since Polaroid is losing its patent these pictures don’t come cheap (approx. $1.50/pic) So if I took a polaroid of you, just know I must love you.

DOMINICAN DREAMIN’
“¿Dónde están mis zapatos?” That was the first question I asked after a whole night of partying in the Dominican Republic (let’s just say I took full advantage of the unlimited drinks). I was actually over there for business – a client flew me there to capture a few events – but I had plenty of free to time enjoy the beach, go parasailing and meet a ton of people.
I wanted to share my experience with any brides looking for a honeymoon destination and let them know that Punta Cana is HIGHLY recommended. I stayed at the Melia Caribe Resort and was impressed by the rooms, the staff, the food, the drinks, the casino, the club, the beach, etc (I could go on for days). And did I mention it was very affordable! Although, I didn’t pay for my trip, I talked to a few hotel guests who bragged on how cheap their packages were (some even paid $700 for an entire week). With all that being said, this a great option for that budget bride who wants to still experience luxury at a great price or anyone who’s looking for a great getaway.
