About Me

I'm a Miami-based photographer but love to travel for the perfect picture!

I like to think I have a very classic style, with a youthful twist.

I think a wedding is the most amazing experience to capture on film

I'm a Nikon user, an Apple lover and Nike Fanatic!

You will always see an issue of GQ, Complex and Vogue Magazine on my coffee table (Yes, Vogue has some of the most amazing photographers ever!)

I run daily, not to stay in shape but to support my eating habit.

L-10 is my nickname, get it... EL-TEN (Elton)

There is beauty in everyone and everything.... my goal is to capture it.

MICHAEL JACKSON // MAN IN THE MIRROR

They say you always remember exactly what you were doing the moment a significant event occurs in history. Well in the case of Michael Jackson’s death I was in the middle of a photoshoot… in Harlem…. in front of the Apollo. Needless to say, it was an emotional moment on 125th Street. People were deeply saddened, some even in tears but amazingly, even in death, MJ could still bring millions of people together. I just hope we all remember him for the good things he brought to our lives… in the end, that’s all that really matters.

And what would this post be without my favorite MJ song, once again proving you don’t need much to make a great video.

Tate - I hate to use words like "lucky" or "blessing" when talking about the untimely demise of a person especially an immortal legend such as Mike. But to be in the heart of a iconic place like that at that moment is once in a lifetime. Great pics as always. Cherish the memories bruh.July 1, 2009 - 1:52 pm

winston leonard - Wow! What a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness and document a piece of history. That is one of the best things about being a photographer. You captured the emotion, the significance and a bit of the past with the the B&W. Great job once again.June 26, 2009 - 11:28 pm

Erica - I watched on CNN as the crowd gathered at the doors of the Apollo and Al Sharpton spoke about the positive impact MJ and his music has had on race relations in this country. As a 25-yo, I can say that I love MJ's music, can recite the words to scores of songs and know a MJ sample when I hear one, but unfortunately the perception of "Whacko-Jacko" has become more prevalent for many my age and younger, while the iconic talent that is the great Michael Jackson is often a second thought. Not until the moment captured above did I actually take time to reflect on and truly realize the impact of his star and genius on our lives. Great job capturing this moment! Your work is always amazing!!June 26, 2009 - 12:58 pm
