Elton Anderson bio picture

About Me

I'm a Miami-based photographer but love to travel for the perfect picture!

I like to think I have a very classic style, with a youthful twist.

I think a wedding is the most amazing experience to capture on film

I'm a Nikon user, an Apple lover and Nike Fanatic!

You will always see an issue of GQ, Complex and Vogue Magazine on my coffee table (Yes, Vogue has some of the most amazing photographers ever!)

I run daily, not to stay in shape but to support my eating habit.

L-10 is my nickname, get it... EL-TEN (Elton)

There is beauty in everyone and everything.... my goal is to capture it.

JANELL SNOWDEN // I ♥ JS

Janell is ALWAYS on the go… it’s pretty much her job. As an entertainment reporter for both CNN and VH1 she juggles her life between red carpets, celebrity interviews and travel to and from the best events around the country. Sounds like a dream career if you ask me… but it’s a dream that Janell works very hard at.

I had a chance to spend a day in her life during my recent trip to NYC and it was fast paced to say the least. Of course, there were business meetings, urgent phone calls and the blackberry that never left her side but despite all the hustle and bustle she never missed the opportunity to help out someone else. She has invested so much of herself in helping others (myself included) and still looks amazingly beautiful while doing it. I have to thank Janell for letting me tell a piece of her story and also helping me write mine.

** Extra special thanks to Apuje Kalu for his help as stylist/creative director for this shoot. More of him to come!

JasmineC - Beautiful shots Elton, doesn't hurt that you have a beautiful subject. Apuje, you did a wonderful job on the styling, I think if I saw Janell out on the streets in those purple pumps, she might get robbed lol. Overall, the pictures give you that NYC Madison Avenue feel and the shots are very crisp and colorful, I love it.July 21, 2009 - 12:14 pm

Jennifer Snowden - Elton, once again you have done a great job telling the story. You captured Janell and her lifestyle pretty perfectly :) Between your great eye and Apuje's creative direction you really put together a spread that I could easily see in a fashion magazine. I've envied Janell's style for years and her personal closet would even make Anna Wintour blush so I know you must have had a blast pulling from all of her amazing clothes and accessories...between that and her natural ease in front of the camera I'm sure she made your jobs easy! Well done!!!July 11, 2009 - 2:02 pm

DamonAndrew - talent, talent and more talent. great work!July 9, 2009 - 9:44 pm

TamraNicole - ok so i looooove the shot of the purple shoes, jeans and the police sign. i also love the square necklace matched with the red and white top. but i am totally in love with the black outfit! leggings, top and heels are the hottest shit ever! i would totally rock that and the jeans and purple shoes! shots look amazing too! you did a great job sir! we should do some work together! ok i left a book. lolJuly 8, 2009 - 9:31 pm

Bernice - I like the pic of just the legs (in the skinny jeans) and the purple shoes. Hot!July 8, 2009 - 8:16 pm

Amari - What can I say? lol The styling and the pictures capture the urban landscape of New York that is at once gritty, grimy and beautiful. I've already admitted to being a "borrower" of Apuje's style, lol. Her look is real, not forced or made up. It's urban chic at it's best. It's images like this that makes you want to up and move.July 8, 2009 - 7:17 pm

TreyGreg - Elton, this shoot was near perfection. I typically like to read the write up after viewing the story, and I must say everything you described was personified in the captures. I was actually envisioning those things without prior knowledge of Janelle & her day-to-day life. Not to minimize the greatness of any of the photos, my favorite is the one w/ her standing next to the train... pure ingenuity. Nice job, Apuje, on the styling! It complimented the story line well. You definitely have a great future at it. Can't wait for my shot at this...July 8, 2009 - 5:16 pm

Jeren - The slide show is dope! The styling was definitely on point. My favorite pic is the black and white next 2 the train...very artistic. It definitely helps that Janelle is a pretty girl but the photographer mixed with the creative direction turned out an awesome group of pictures. Looking forward to seeing more in the future. Keep up the good work fellas!July 8, 2009 - 3:47 pm

NicoleAlexis - I must say, this shoot was dope! Apuje you definitely "styled on them"! The clothes are fab. I love the photography style as well. I think my favorite shot is the bench shot...great job ant making her stand out. Great job!!!July 8, 2009 - 2:50 pm

Jeff Tate - Great pics Elton and I love Janell. She's great on CNN and VH1 and definitely a gorgeous woman. I really love the pic as she's walking in the house. The light somewhat captures her excitement of either who she's on the phone with or just being back home. Apuje already knows he's great at what he does...lol...but definitely did a great job on this shoot. Now all you need it to bring me on to handle the PR and Marketing and we're good...lol... Great work man...July 8, 2009 - 1:59 pm

crharrington - Love the styling and the photography! The cab dress and the day dress in the shopping scene are HOT! Great job and keep up the good work Apuje and Elton!July 8, 2009 - 1:47 pm

MayaD - Elton, I have seen your work and didn't realize it was your work. Your work is outstanding! And kudos to Apuje too!July 8, 2009 - 12:50 pm

J. Bland - Janell is HOT! Elton I like how you captured the personality of New York City in the photos. So many small details that paint a beautiful story... things that I believe often go unnoticed, but you managed to capture. The styling is perfect. Simple. Trendy. Sexy. Great job Apuje. I really look forward to seeing more of your work. You and Elton make a great team.July 8, 2009 - 12:46 pm

alicia.maureen - in janell's sliding story- i'm LOVING the subway picture where she's going underground! the repetition of the rectangles really works! then my other fave is the last one (her walking up the stairs). it has a real graphic quality to it! and i'm a HUGE "cropping" fan. love how she's walking up, out of the frame. it leaves the viewer wanting more... another job well done L10. :)July 8, 2009 - 12:24 pm

Michael Carroll - The photos are dope! I especially like the picture with her hair blowing as the train (right?) rides by. That's my favorite shot. And the shot of her toting the bags made me think "just throw it in the bag". Second fav pic is the one where she's sitting on the bench of the subway and the lady to her right has that "who is this bish" look on her face. Classic, lol. Fantastic work!July 8, 2009 - 12:21 pm

phakespeare - I really enjoy these pictures. The concept is amazing. Apuje, you did your thing. I feel like I know her. This shoot offers a snapshot into her life. It's not "posey" and I like that. There's something very natural and organic about it. Keep up the awesome work lady and gents.July 8, 2009 - 12:19 pm

kelskalu - elton...never met you but your shoots always seem to capture the essence of the story. apuje (cuzzin) love the styling. esp the "police do not cross" and the very last photo with janell walking out of the subway...sequins...pumps...and all. keep making aRt guys. kelskalu (asliceofsnob.blogspot.com)July 8, 2009 - 12:17 pm

Taimur - My favorite is the one with Janelle sitting between the 2 indifferent bystanders (or sitters) on the bench. Overall nice creative vision.July 8, 2009 - 11:42 am
