Katie and Chris… oh where do I start? Katie is one of the most genuine, kind-hearted people I’ve ever known and she has found a perfect match in her new husband Chris.

My friendship with Katie goes way back… Back to my Corporate America days with Pfizer. We were actually coworkers on the same team and I can remember the day she brought her new boyfriend Chris to one of the team dinners. Apparently, they met on MySpace :-0 and my first thought was, “How is this gonna work?”. Nearly three years later, not only has it “worked” but it has grown into something more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

Their wedding was truly special to me because of Katie’s faith in my talent. When I made the decision to pursue photography full-time she was one of the first people to support my fledgling business — no questions asked. Katie & Chris, I can’t thank you enough for your support from day one and I hope my pictures capture the beautiful people you both are on the inside and out. Enjoy.

As a photographer, my goal is to capture your wedding story — a story of love, laughter and the promise of a beautiful future between you and your fiance. These moments are priceless and when all the cake is gone and you’ve danced your last dance, your wedding album is a timeless portal to that special day. A lot of people were curious to see what a completed one looks like, so I’ve decided to share. Of course every couple is different so one album is COMPLETELY different from the next but I’ll be sure to share more on another post.

The 12K bride has finally gotten married and yours truly was the photographer! If you guys aren’t familiar, my friend Cora has a great blog (www.12kwedding.com) with hundreds of tips on planning the perfect wedding for only $12,000 and making it look like you spent way more — if you ask me, she succeeded. Everything about their wedding day was beautiful… the ceremony, the bouquet, the cupcake tower (yum) and most importantly, the love between her and her new husband Lloyd. There’s a lot of things that 12k can buy but this couple is priceless. Thanks for making me a part of your big day!

I’ll be honest, it’s actually kinda weird watching one of your oldest friends get married. Matt and I go way back — back to when recess and animal crackers were the highlight of our days. In high school, our bond even grew tighter as we ran throughout the state and the nation as track & field champions. When we went to separate colleges we still remained great friends, but Matt also began forming a friendship with a girl who would one day become his wife.

Matt and Malaika met on the campus of the University of Michigan and have been in each other’s corner ever since. From the moment I met Malaika I knew she was the only woman  who could give Matt both the challenge and support that he needed, plus this girl is as hilarious and beautiful as they come. When Matt told me he proposed I totally expected it. In fact, I was wondering what took him so long! 

Being their wedding photographer meant a lot more than just taking some beautiful pictures. For me, it meant capturing a love story that I’m sure will grow into a beautiful marriage. I couldn’t be happier for my lifelong friend. Especially since now he has a best friend he can call his wife. Congrats!

Ja’Lisa and Jaye are the couple that everyone falls in love with… I know I did. Despite everything that went wrong during their engagement session in April (rain, snowstorms, etc.) this couple kept me laughing. And not just a little chuckle… I’m talking spitting out your drink laughter. That may just be the secret to their great relationship. Besides being deeply in love, they are also best friends and now husband and wife. I have no doubt that Ja’Lisa and Jaye are a match made in heaven and luckily, for everything that went wrong during their engagement session, everything went perfect for their wedding day. Ja’Lisa and Jaye thanks for the memories and the laughs and a special thanks for letting me capture your wedding.
